The North and Mid Herts League kicked off to an exciting start on Saturday as 22 goals were scored in five matches.

Two goals from John Malone and one from Steve Elridge ensured a Warriors XI victory over league newcomers FC Letchworth.

Warriors ran out 3-1 winners as Scott Hagland notched Letchworth's only goal.

In a tricky game, Redbourn claimed a narrow 2-1 win over Wodson Park Seniors.

Ed King and Nick Irvine put Redbourn two-up before a Wodson penalty from Ben Thorpe ensured the game had an edgy finish.
