Colney Heath Football Club has won £1,000 in a community competition.
The club was awarded the money after being named the winner of Taylor Wimpey South Midlands' Community Chest competition.
Club chair Richard Smith said: "We were delighted to win the Community Chest prize, and would like to thank everyone who so kindly nominated the club for this award.
"The prize money will go towards the cost of resources and future projects that will further benefit our local community by encouraging similar social events in a friendly and welcoming environment."
The community chest launched in the summer, aiming to support a cause or group near the new Colney Manor development.
Fiona Lloyd, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey South Midlands, said: "We selected Colney Heath FC as our winner and we’re delighted to support a local community sports club that makes a real difference."
