Batchwood Hall defeated local rivals St Albans 81-53 in their first competitive match of the season.
Having lost to St Albans in this fixture in the preceding two years, Batchwood came out on top on this occasion, winning on three of the four rinks.
The top rink for Batchwood was Jim Gibb, Martin Myland, Dave Norrell and Adrian Baddams.
Batchwood also won 128-84 away to Radlett in their mixed match.
Batchwood’s top rink of Colin Watts, Eddie Price, Pam Ward and John Harvey made the difference, winning 48 shots to 12.
