Pupils from schools across the district will have the chance to quiz politicians on how the council is run as part of initiative to get residents more involved.
The district council is running Local Democracy Week in an attempt to promote active citizenship.
A series of activities will be on offer throughout the week including question panels and meet the mayor competitions.
Teenagers at Townsend, Sandringham and Verulam are just three of the six schools that will be able to grill councillors about what they do for the city.
Councillor Beric Read, portfolio holder for community engagement and localism at the council, said: “It’s important that residents know how to get involved with decision-making about services and facilities at a local level and these Local Democracy Week events help do that.”
The week will run from October 15 until October 21.
