Residents will be able to explore the grounds of a St Albans church by following a new trail.
St Peter’s in the city centre has installed four new information panels around the site to give visitors more information about its history.
Reverend Anne Hollinghurst, the vicar at St Peter’s, said: “Everyone in the community is invited to be part of this place which offers a focal point for remembering loved ones as well as being a place of rest and refuge for both people and wildlife.
“All are welcome to follow the history trail, to look for the ancient trees and the lichen-rich tombstones and to walk through the wildflower meadow and fledgling orchard being developed by St Peter’s.”
The panels tell a story that people can follow around the site.
The trail will be officially opened by the mayor on Sunday, October 14.
