A 106-year-old woman was just one of the fundraisers to walk through the Hertfordshire countryside to raise money for charity.
Hetty Bower walked three miles on Saturday as part of Oxfam’s Herts Hike.
More than 300 people walked distances up to 19 miles beginning in Heartwood Forest.
This year’s event has been set up to collect money to aid the charity’s work in Palestine helping olive farmers.
Hilary Tyrrell, a member of the Oxfam St Albans Campaign which organised the event, said: "We hope that local people will have a great day and they will see what nice countryside we have so close to home.
"We hope that they enjoyed helping Oxfam. Everybody benefits."
So far the event has raised £3,100 but online donations are still being counted.
The charity hopes to smash last year’s collection of £4,500 but raising more than £5,000; Councillor Eileen Harris, the mayor of St Albans, also took part in the fundraiser.
She said: "It was wonderful to see so many people showing up to support such a good cause.
"Heartwood Forest was a beautiful location for the walk and it was a very worthwhile event.
"We completed the eight-mile walk and enjoyed seeing views of the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside that we had never seen before."
