A yoga studio in St Albans has raised more than £100 for a charity that supports under privileged women in India.
Feel Hot Yoga in London Road held a charity class on Saturday to collect cash for Yoga Gives Back.
The charity supports a micro credit programme that offers small loans to women who have no access to capital to help them set up their own businesses.
Nina Sebastiane, founder of Feel Hot Yoga, said: "It was brilliant.
"We’re just glad to be able to do something.
"£175 may not seem like a lot to us but it is an enormous amount to somebody whose life depends on it."
Participants were asked to pay a suggested donation of £15 to take place in the class, which took place on Saturday morning.
Ms Sebastiane added: "Sometimes we all get wrapped up in our own world.
"We are going to keep running the event every year."
