For far too many years the dip in Lemsford Road - by Fiddlebridge Lane - floods every time there is a sustained downpour. The flood can be over a foot deep and cover a 30 yard section as Helen Fenton's photo shows.
The water can remain there for days, even after the rain has stopped. Clearly the drains are not able to cope.
Traffic comes to a halt in both directions at the sight of the water hazard and the problem is compounded by cars parked on the left of the upward slope, which in itself causes this busy road to effectively become single lane with buses continuously passing through.
The Hatfield Review will be seeking some answers to the problem from the authorities.
