A cardiac support group in St Albans has installed a new bench in Clarence Park to mark its 15th birthday.
Hertbeats has placed the bench near the park’s entrance overlooking the ornamental gardens.
The bench has a plaque with the charity’s logo ‘Carpe Diem – seize the day.’
Brian York, chairman of the charity, said: “Hertbeats wanted a lasting legacy for this anniversary and Clarence Park seemed the ideal location for the bench and particularly for remembrance of past members.
“The bench is inscribed with our logo and we hope that visitors to the park will make good use of it.”
Hertbeats, which was formed in 1997, aims to provide practical advice and information for patients and their families in St Albans.
