Bus passengers in south west Hertfordshire will soon be able to see how far away their bus is with the roll-out of a new real time information system.
Departure screens are set to go up in various transport kiosks at bus stations across the county in the coming weeks.
Ruling politicians hope the new system will help tempt drivers out of their cars and get more using public transport.
Stuart Pile , cabinet member for highways and transport, said: "Real-time passenger information will help make public transport more attractive to use, as well as helping us to deliver more reliable and punctual buses.
"This is vital if we are to persuade residents to leave their cars at home and take the bus instead."
