A children’s author visited a school in Harpenden to teach pupils about writing.
Julia Jarman visited St Nicholas Primary School in Church Green on Tuesday, September 18.
The Class Two at the Zoo and Kisses are Yuk writer ran workshops with students of ages to teach them about the writing process.
Kate Birss, inclusion co-ordinator at the school, said: "All the children loved it.
"It inspired them with their own writing.
"It made them feel that they could do it."
Following her visit, pupils spent the week writing their own stories using the tips and techniques she gave them.
