Shoppers in St Albans market were handed tea bags this week as part of Remember a Charity week.
Seven hundred tea bags were handed out by representatives from Remember a Charity on Wednesday (September 19) to highlight the importance of people leaving charities gifts in their will.
Charities include Abbeyfield, Arthritis Research UK, Save the Children, and the College of St Barnabas.
Val Langford, Abbeyfield legacy fundraiser in St Albans, said: "Seventy four per cent of adults support a charity in their lifetime but only seven per cent go on to leave a charitable gift in their will.
"Legacy gifts play a vital role for many charities, helping them pay for essential services and projects."
