Police are appealing for witnesses and information in connection with the theft of a mobility scooter in Welwyn Garden City.
The incident occurred between 8pm on July 25th and 12pm on July 26th in Haynes Close. Between these times offender(s) have entered the communal area of a block of flats and removed the scooter.
The mobility scooter is Quingo Classic in silver.
PC Paul Caro is investigating and said: “Mobility scooters can be a lifeline to some members of the community and I would ask anyone who has any information about this theft to contact me.
“I would also like to appeal to anyone who believes they have been offered this item for sale to call with information.”
A 48-year-old man from Welwyn Garden City has been arrested in connection with the investigation and is currently on police bail pending further inquiries.
