OFFICERS investigating the murder of a woman from Hatfield have released a photo of man they want to speak to as part of their inquiries.
Detectives from the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit launched a murder investigation after finding the body of a 34-year-old woman in Glebeland.
Detectives from the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit are investigating the murder of a woman at a house in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, this week and releasing the photo of a man they would like to speak with as part of their inquiries.
Officers want to trace her ex-partner 35-year-old Martin Collett in connection with her murder.
She is believed to have died between May 22 and May 24. A post mortem has taken place and formal identification is due to take place this afternoon. Her family live overseas.
Martin has connections in a number of places across the country including Southampton, Bristol and Stratford-Upon-Avon.
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Ross from the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit said: “This is a tragic case involving people who are known to each other but no doubt members of the local community will be shocked by what has happened.
“My team are making a number of inquiries across the country to trace Martin as a matter of urgency but I would like to reassure members of the public that we do not believe he is a threat to anyone.”
