THE average cost of a home in the St Albans district is now more than £330,000 – making it one of the most expensive areas to live in the country.
Figures released by Nationwide this morning suggest and eight per cent rise in the last year – the fastest rate of growth in the outer London area – to £330,730.
The average price of a home in England is now £182,192.
