AN inquest has been opened into the death of a 29-year-old St Albans man who died after being knocked over by a car in Smallford last weekend.
Luke Moloney, of Clarence Road, was walking in Hatfield Road at arond 2am on Sunday, October 31, when he was hit by a white Toyota Previa.
He was rushed to the QEII Hospital in Welwyn Garden City where he was pronounced dead.
Floral tributes have been left at the scene opposite Notcutts garden centre.
An inquest was opened and adjouned into Luke's death yesterday.
A post mortem recorded a cause of death as fracture to the cervical spine - which is subject to confirmation at the inquest.
