RESIDENTS are invited to join the Mayor of St Albans this Sunday for carols by the Christmas tree.
The event will run jointly with Grove House hospice with all funds raised being donated to the cause.
Join the Very Reverend Dr Jeffrey John, Dean of St Albans, The Bishop of St Albans and others for the festive carol singing from 4pm.
Hot coffee and mince pies will be service in the district council chamber after the service.
The Mayor Councillor Chirs Oxley said: “During the course of my Mayoral year I have met those who have received huge benefits from spending time at Grove House and happily are able to spend much of their time at home.
"Also those families whose relatives and friends are no longer with them but saw the superb help given by the hospice to them; and indeed the help and support they in turn have received from Grove House.
"The carol service will not only be a fund raising event but also a celebration of the lives of those touched by Grove House and their staff.”
