THE streaker who stormed the EastEnders set last week as they filmed at St Peter's Church in St Albans has spoken to the Review about his stunt.

Joe Wainwright, who is working on a building site in the area, said the idea was kicked off on his Facebook page.

The 20-year-old, who is originally from Somerset but lives in Watford, said he wrote on his status: “If Joe gets 75 people to like his status he will streak on the EastEnders set.”

He said the hits on the social networking site soon escalated and when he got to 61 he just decided to go ahead and do it.

Joe said: “When I first got onto the set the security guard started pushing me back and then I just ran off. But Peggy Mitchell laughed at me.

“I saw it as a joke but after I thought something good might have to come of it.

“So I have asked everyone who supported me to donate money to the Help for Heroes charity and I've raised about £200 so far.”
