A STREAKER prompted a few scarlet blushes from the cast of EastEnders yesterday as they filmed in St Albans.
A 20-year-old man stripped down to his underwear and began parading his half-naked body in front of Barbara Windsor, Albert Square's Peggy Mitchell, while film crews shot Ricky and Bianca's wedding at St Peter's Church in the city centre.
The builder from Somerset was working on a nearby site when he spotted the actors and excitement got the better of him.
He immediately bounded over to the film set, took off his overalls and high visibilty jacket before dancing around Barbara and co-star Cheryl Fergison, who play's Heather Trott.
As security escorted him off the site, the brave chap had little more than a pair of gold Y-fronts and a woolly hat to keep him warm in what were bitter temperatures.
Police were also called to the scene but described the stunt as harmless.
In a statement police spokesperson Nicola Lawrence said: "At 11.50am yesterday police stopped and spoke to a 20-year-old man from Somerset after he exposed his underwear to two women involved in the filming. Police pursued the man and apprehended him and gave suitable words of advice regarding his behaviour.
"The women who witnessed the incident did not want to take further action."
