ST ALBANS MP Anne Main has given her full support to the Review's campaign celebrating the achievements of young people across the district.

The Review's KiDs campaign, aiming to give youngsters a voice and honour the good that they bring to our district, is being backed by members of all political spectrums, including well-known MP Ann Widdecombe, who visited a Hertfordshire school last week to applaud the achievements of its pupils.

Joining the campaign's upsurge of followers today was our MP Mrs Main.

She said: "I am privileged in my role as MP for St Albans to regularly see the good work that young people in the area take part in.

"I love visiting schools and other youth groups and hearing the views of young people.

"It is fantastic to see them getting involved in the community and it is of great benefit to us all.

"Hopefully through this campaign more people will come to appreciate what young people do in our local area.”

The campaign kicked off this weekend in spectacular style with the Mela festival in Clarence Park - organised for the first time by members of St Albans Youth Council.

We want to continue celebrating young people's contributions to society, and to do this we need your help.
