The St Albans Labour Party must be feeling hounded by the Greens.
First the Greens comfortably moved ahead of Labour across the whole of St Albans at the recent County elections. Now the Labour Party is holding its conference in what Andrew Marr calls "the stronghold of Green politics" - Brighton.
Green Leader Caroline Lucas seems quite likely to win the seat of Brighton Pavillion at the next general election, with only the Tories threatening to stop them. Greens have consistently topped the polls in Brighton in recent years, largely winning over Labour voters. A strange place, then, for Labour to plan their comeback.
