ST ALBANS MP Anne Main has shown the Review details of expenses she has claimed on her second home, which include about £4,000 in furnishings.
Mrs Main, whose main home is just 24 miles away in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, has, since she was elected in May 2005, claimed on a second home she shares with her daughter in central St Albans.
She claimed £925 per month rent as parliamentary expenses until November 2006, when she bought the flat for £249,000 - claiming about £5,000 professional fees – and subsequently claimed mortgage interest of between £600 and £1,100 a month.
