Two drug raids have been conducted by the St Albans Neighbourhood Policing Team amid a crackdown last week.

On Monday, November 25 police carried out a drugs warrant on two addresses in Jove Gardens, simultaneously gaining entry to both.

Following the raid, two people were arrested with cash, phones and drugs also seized.

Another arrest was made on Saturday, November 23, as police apprehended a 28-year-old woman for a theft from M&S and Tesco on St Peter's Street.

She was remanded for court and later released on bail until her sentencing.

A Facebook post by St Albans Police highlighted other incidents last week. It read: "On 24/11/24 we stopped a vehicle that was without insurance for over 2 months.

"It was subsequently seized and the driver was reported for the offence. #StAlbansSeizures"

"We also stopped a wanted male who failed to attend court in relation to a bicycle theft," the post added.

"He was in custody until the following day where he was taken to court."
