A new Hawaiian poke shop is coming to St Albans High Street offering "bliss in a bowl".
Chain Aloha Poke UK will be "opening soon" at 25 High Street, which has been vacant for several months.
On the newly decorated exterior a sign reads: "Your local poke palace, opening soon!".
The eatery specialises in poke bowls, acai bowls and smoothies, featuring a range of ingredients including vegan and vegetarian options.
The signature poke bowl is a classic Hawaiian dish that can be served up in several ways. It is most notably defined by its inclusion of cubed, raw ahi tuna. Poke may also feature salmon, hamachi, octopus, or even tofu.
The Aloha chain has extended across the UK in recent years with other locations including Kensal Rise, Cambridge, Pinner, Bristol and South Bermondsey all opening.
Its strong presence on fast-food app Deliveroo, meant it was awarded the title "best poke in London" for 2024.
