St Albans Cathedral will feature in the fourth edition of the "Together at Christmas" carol service on ITV.
The Princess of Wales will host the event at Westminster Abbey on Friday, December 6 which will air on ITV1 and ITVX on Christmas Eve.
Alongside the main service there will be 15 community events happening up and down the country.
In Herts, carols will be sung at St Albans Cathedral, representing the county.
A spokesperson for the royal household said: "This year’s service provides a moment to reflect upon the importance of love and empathy, and how much we need each other, especially in the most difficult times of our lives.
"The service will shine a light on individuals from all over the UK who have shown love, kindness and empathy towards others in their communities."
During the event, the world-renowned Westminster Abbey choir will perform some of the nation’s most beloved carols, alongside musical performances by guests including Paloma Faith, Olivia Dean and Gregory Porter.
The service will also share stories of some of the incredible guests in the congregation, who have provided invaluable support across their communities.

Westminster Abbey will be filled with 1,600 people who have supported others in their communities, whether on a personal level with friends and family, through their work or as they selflessly give up their time through volunteering.
These guests will be joined by Members of The Royal Family and recognisable faces who in their own ways have shown how love can help others thrive.
