Redbourn Golf Club has made an application for major upgrades to its facilities - including bar and lounge areas.
Plans, which have been submitted on behalf of Burhill Golf & Leisure Limited, feature a driving range extension and minor alterations to the ball stop fence at the Luton Lane site.
Under the proposal, the existing range will be partially demolished to add a further "six bays, improve access to the building, and construct an extended reception featuring a lounge and bar area".
Out of the six new bays, five are designed for "group activity" and the sixth is described as "dual use" for "custom fitting of clubs" - intended for players looking to purchase bespoke equipment and VIP play/tuition.
All bays will be fitted with monitors installed with the latest "TrackMan" golf tracking technology which provides instant feedback for golfers practicing their swing.

"The achievement of the enhancements proposed will support a secure commercial future for the club and its business model," the statement added.
In the proposed site plan, there will be a new lounge area, bar, cellar/food store, TV leader board and ball dispensing system.
The existing driving range is comprised of 20 single person bays and a rear addition, containing a ball dispensing space with machine and an enclosed space for plant and electrical equipment.
Plans are currently open to public consultation until Saturday, November 30.
