Two lorries carrying portable homes caused major delays after they were stranded in Radlett yesterday.
Traffic on Watling Street was brought to a stop as two travelling houses attempted to pass through the town.
According to Herts Highways the "obstructions" caused "major delays" in both directions.
Resdient, Kay, saw the road come to a complete "standstill" as the two vehicles became stuck.
"Two huge transporter lorries were unable to get through because of the traffic bollards", she said.
