A St Albans supermarket is set to reopen with limited functionality this afternoon (September 23) after being closed due to the severe weather that's hit the city.

Waitrose at 1 Ermine Close was forced to close earlier today after heavy rain and flooding caused a power outage.

According to an automated telephone message, the shop was due to reopen at 2pm, but with several services remaining out of action.

The majority of chilled goods will be unavailable "until further notice" after the loss of power.
