Children learnt about creatures living under the sea in a holiday club at St Mary's Church, Redbourn.

St Mary's Holiday Club returned to the church earlier in August, after a few years off.

The theme of the week was the deep sea, and 28 children created underwater creatures using repurposed or recycled materials, as well as images of themselves as deep sea divers.

A giant octopus, dolphin and turtle can be seen each day until Sunday, September 1, along with sea anemones, pearls and shoals of fish made from plastic bottles.

They also explored water-themed Bible stories, and spent time listening, singing, acting and reflecting.

Greyson, aged eight, said: "Every day at St Mary’s Summer camp was brilliant. Full of fun, super active and creative.

"My favourite bit was all the crafts and games. I can’t wait for next year."
