Alternative rock and metal artist Kid Brunswick is performing at The Horn in St Albans as part of the MVT Cohorts tour.

The singer will appear at The Horn on Saturday, August 17, making the stop on his 14-date tour at grassroots music venues around the UK.

Organised by the charity Music Venue Trust (MVT), the MVT Cohorts tour is a new initiative to combat the shrinking tour circuit - enabling artists to perform in towns, rural areas and smaller cities rather than just major cities.

Luke Hinton, booking and promotions manager at The Horn, said: "With The Horn celebrating its 50th this year, the venue has always been a stop on many early tours for artists including the likes of U2, Sade, Yungblud and The Zutons.

"We’re delighted to be able to support and be included in this new initiative by Music Venue Trust to kickstart the touring circuit and help take artists back to towns and cities where they may not have been able to play otherwise!"

Kid Brunswick added: "Thanks to Music Venue Trust, I've been able to perform in smaller towns I wouldn't have reached otherwise.

"This tour is amazing, I’m extremely grateful to have this opportunity to play nationwide."
