St Albans Musical Theatre Society is bringing coming-of-age story Spring Awakening to the open air Roman Theatre.
Performances will take place at 7.30pm from Wednesday, July 10 to Saturday, July 13, with a 6pm performance on Sunday, July 14.
Tickets are available from https://ovo.org.uk/shows/spring-awakening/.
The musical follows a group of teenagers in late 19th century Germany as they face the inner and outer tumult of sexuality, with a score swinging from rock to folk.
Director and choreographer Melissa-Rose Muirhead said: "It's an incredibly exciting challenge for us at SAMTC to put on Spring Awakening as it's such a unique and emotional piece of theatre.
"Not only that, the opportunity to perform it in an open air setting as part of OVO's Open Air Festival is one we grabbed with both hands.
