Former Premier League footballer Anton Ferdinand has launched a number of football classes in St Albans.
Starting from Tuesday (November 21), the once West Ham United, QPR and Sunderland defender's 'Ferdinand Football' has begun to run development sessions for school Years 3 to 6 at the YMCA in Russet Drive.
Young footballers of any ability can join the 'Ferdinand Football Mid Herts' classes on a free two-week trial.
Ferdinand, who retired from football in 2019, said: “Grassroots football was one of the highlights of my childhood, playing football with my friends, learning people skills, improving my work ethic whilst also having fun.
"For that I feel, it’s only right I give back to something that played a pivotal role in making me who I am today.
