"Intense rainfall" caused flooding in St Albans on Wednesday night (September 20) and into yesterday morning (Thursday, September 21).
Eye witnesses took to social media in multiple areas of the city, with one posting images of allotments underwater in Coldharbour Lane.
An image sent to The Herts Advertiser shows the allotments still flooded at 8am yesterday morning (Thursday).

According to Hertfordshire County Council, the rainfall caused more than 100 reports of flooding on Hertfordshire's roads.
A spokesperson for the local authority said: "Our highways team received more than 100 reports of flooding on Hertfordshire’s roads following last night’s intense rainfall, and we will be looking into these.
“We have an annual programme of cleaning out highway drains, however when there is extremely heavy rain of the sort we saw last night, drainage systems can be temporarily overwhelmed.
“We’d encourage residents to report blocked drains or flooding on our online fault reporting system at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/highwayfaults where you can also see how recently each drain has been cleaned.
"Even if we can’t fix the problem straight away, we can use the information to help us plan our future work programmes.
“If flooding is affecting people’s home, they can report it to us at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/flooding where there is also advice on protecting your home.”
