The lead singer of reggae band Aswad, who were due to perform at Pub in the Park in St Albans, has died.
Angus ‘Drummie’ Gaye has died at the age of 62 and his cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
The band is scheduled to play at festival in St Albans on Sunday, September 11, on the same day as soul singer Beverley Knight. The group is yet to say whether it will cancel the performance or not.

On Aswad’s Facebook page, a statement said: “It is with deepest regret and profound loss that we have to announce the passing of our brother Angus ‘Drummie’ Gaye.
“Drummie was the lead vocalist for the iconic band Aswad and is much loved and respected by both family, friends and peers alike.
“More information will be given at a later time but on behalf of his family and Aswad - we ask that their privacy is respected at this heart-breaking time.
“Drummie has left us to join our ancestors and leaves a huge void both personally and professionally.”
Aswad is known for its chart-topping hits such as Shine and Don’t Turn Around.
A Pub in the Park spokesperson has said: "We are deeply saddened by the passing of Aswad’s lead vocalist, Angus ‘Drummie’ Gaye.
"Over the years, Aswad’s performances at Pub in the Park have bought so much joy to so many. Our deepest condolences go out to Drummie’s family and friends.
"Aswad, who were due to appear at St Albans Pub in the Park on Sunday 11 September, will understandably no longer be performing.
"We will be announcing an additional act for the Sunday line-up in due course."
