A man has been charged over a burglary that involved a woman in her 90s allegedly waking to find an unknown man standing in her bedroom.
He reportedly claimed to be a window cleaner before the victim challenged and chased him from the property in Bricket Wood.
Police say after attending they found a discarded bag containing several items, including a serrated knife and drugs paraphernalia.

Following the February 12 burglary, police today (May 27) confirmed a man has been charged after a St Albans Local Crime Unit investigation.
Frank Donoghue, 40, of no fixed address, was arrested on Wednesday and was also charged with possession of Class A drugs (heroin).
He has been remanded into custody to appear before St Albans Crown Court on Monday, June 27.
