- The M25 has been closed clockwise for around 20 hours due to a lorry crash and debris and oil over the carriageway
- National Highways says it is still shut between junction 23 for the A1 and 25 for Enfield
- It has been closed since before midday on April 19 and remains shut as of 7.30am today (April 20)
- The biggest issue is cooking oil that has spilt over the road making it slippery
- Work has been ongoing to clean it up but traffic officers have not deemed the road surface safe enough to fully reopen the motorway
- Traffic delays on the M25 have been severe and there are major queues approaching the closure at junction 23 this morning
- Some motorists were stuck yesterday in the tailbacks in the closure for hours because it took some time for them to be allowed to be turned around
- Drivers forced to leave the M25 are asked to use the A1, A406, and A10 as a diversion
