A man has been seriously injured after a fight between three people.

Police are looking for witnesses following the group fight near St Albans Magistrates’ Court in Civic Close last Wednesday (January 5) at around 2.40pm.

It was reported that one of the three men sustain serious injuries during the incident.

Detective Constable Jemma Warburton has said “a number of people tried to intervene” according to CCTV footage that was reviewed.

She continued: “We’re keen to speak with these people as part of ongoing enquiries to establish the circumstances around what happened. If you can help, please get in touch with us.”
