A popular market showcasing the best vegan delicacies is set to return to St Albans.
Vegan Market Co runs the event involving the best vegan businesses, ranging from niche local independents to larger well-known companies.
It aims to make veganism accessible and inclusive for everyone, while also helping to tackle the climate crisis by promoting sustainable lifestyle choices.
The market will be in the centre of St Albans on St Peter's Street and will run on Sunday, May 2, from 10:30am to 4pm.
Similar markets run at more than 40 locations nationwide after the first one was launched in Cambridge in 2016.
A spokesperson for the event said: “The St Albans Vegan Market will have everything from mouth-watering food and drink, stalls, sustainable lifestyle brands, ethical clothing and crafts, charities, and everything in between."
Lewis Beresford, VMC’s founder, said: “We are so excited to bring our vegan market back to St Albans.
“We work hard to find leading vegan brands from around the country, from street food and sweet treats to ethical clothing and cruelty free cosmetics.
“We also work with many local companies and can’t wait to give all of these fantastic businesses the platform they deserve to showcase their brilliant work.”
He continued: “We’re proud to be tackling the climate crisis by promoting sustainable lifestyle choices with our events and supporting tree planting and conservation projects around the world.”
Vegan Market Co plants a tree for every business that takes part.
