Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seen indecently exposing himself while inside a car.
It happened at around 9am on New Year's Day as two 15-year-old girls walked along Hatfield Road in Fleetville.
Police say a man inside a silver car outside Tesco Express made a noise which alerted the two girls who turned around to see him indecently exposing himself.
The man is then said to have driven away in the direction of Morrisons before turning around and driving back past the girls towards St Albans city centre.
A 32-year-old man from Borehamwood has been arrested by officers investigating the indecent exposure bit police are seeking further help from the public.
PC Daniel Judge said: "A man has been arrested in connection with this incident and I hope that gives peace of mind to local residents.
"Our enquiries suggest that the road was relatively busy at the time and a number of people would have walked past the car. Were you in the area? Did you walk past? Perhaps you were driving by and caught the vehicle on dash cam?"
