IF you want a pub with a friendly atmosphere for an after-work drink or a "quiet one" with friends, then look no further than Daly's in Whippendell Road.
The pub is small with only one bar, but despite often being busy, is never overcrowded unless football is being shown on the big screen.
Prices are about average for this area.
Unfortunately, there are no real ales on offer for the more discerning drinker and wine drinkers have no option other than 175ml bottles (one glass).
But there is a good selection of draught bitters and lagers available, which gives everyone a choice no matter what their poison is.
There is always a vibe in the pub and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
The beauty of Daly's is it allows you to relax and hold a conversation with your companions in a modern, bustling bar, but without the all-too-familiar music blaring out that means you have to yell at the top of your voice to be heard.
The only downside is the pub is situated on a busy road, in a residential area, so parking spaces are difficult to come by.
