Sainsbury’s ‘local charity of the year’ scheme is back and the London Colney store is looking for a new charity to support.
During the next couple of months, Sainsbury’s stores will make a shortlist of charities for customers to vote for.
The winning charity will then receive a year of support from the store, which includes fundraising and awareness.
Customers can vote between June 13 and 26 in stores and online.
The Sainsbury’s Local Charity of the Year scheme has raised more than £9million over the last seven years and has helped thousands of charities across the UK.
Carl Cornish, store manager of Sainsbury’s London Colney, said: “There are so many fantastic charities in the local area who do brilliant work in our community.
“We’d love to hear from charities we haven’t supported before.”
To apply, register your interest at the customer service desk or kiosk at Sainsbury’s London Colney.
Nominations close on May 9 and all charities must be registered to the UK Charity Commission.
