A thirty-eight year old woman from St Albans has been charged with shoplifting and possession of class B drugs.
Susanna Hills, from Cottonmill Crescent, was arrested on Monday April 27, by police officers from the St Albans Intervention Team, following the theft of more than £125 worth of items from Marks and Spencer in Colney Fields Shopping Park, London Colney.
She has been released on police bail and is due to appear before Central and Western Hertfordshire Magistrates Court on May 12.
Detective Inspector, Pete Frost from St Albans Local Crime Unit, said: “Intervention Teams, Crime Teams and Safer Neighbourhood Teams in the St Albans Community Partnership (CSP) closely work together in order to try and prevent and detect crime.
"Crime is robustly investigated across the CSP and we will continue to work together with our partners to make St Albans a safer place to live and work.”
