An appeal has been launched against an enforcement notice, issued by the council, to demolish a building, built on Green Belt land.
Hertsmere Borough Council issued the notice on January 21 to Stephen and Rochelle Balsam, of Loom Lane, Radlett, for building a house without planning permission.
Planning policy states that development on Green Belt land should only be granted in exceptional circumstances and the council say this case does not fall into that category.
Officers also said in their report that the height, mass and bulk of the building was inappropriate and out of keeping with the surrounding area.
A hearing will be held to determine the appeal. Anyone wanting to make a comment should email teame2@pins.gsi.gov.uk quoting reference number APP/N1920/C/15/3005612.
