Two charities in St Albans and Harpenden have been presented with cheques for £2,700.
The Town Mayor, councillor Mary Maynard, presented the cheques to Home-Start St Albans City and District and Community Meeting Point Harpenden - Hightown Praetorian and Churches Association.
In total, £5,826 has been raised for the Town Mayor’s nominated charities from various events, activities and donations, with some monies having already been paid direct to the charities.
Councillor Maynard said: "I would like to thank everyone for their support and generosity.
"It has been a very busy year for me and it has been wonderful to meet so many enthusiastic and hardworking volunteers in the local community, many of whom are involved in more than one organisation and support many local events.
"Harpenden has a great community and by working together, sharing ideas and giving of our time so much can be achieved."
