More than 400 people have signed a petition to prevent the closure of a post office in St Albans.
The Co-op say the post office branch in How Wood is unprofitable and they will end its business in the St Albans store.
Co-op’s decision – which could see four staff made redundant – means the nearest post office will be in Bricket Wood.
The service is expected to cease at the beginning of April.
A petition set up to oppose the closure has received 444 online signatures. Click here to sign up.
