A car, jewellery and a toy tiger were stolen in a Redbourn burglary.
The theft occurred between 7pm and 11pm on Wednesday, November 26 at an address in Crown Street. The offender(s) smashed the window of a patio door at the back of the house while the owner wasn’t in.
The house was searched and a number of items taken before a Vauxhall Insignia was stolen from the garage and driven away.
The items stolen include a Callaway driver golf club, a gold pocket watch, four sets of gold cufflinks, a number of items of jewellery, including rings, chains and a medallion, which shows a representation of the Acropolis in Athens and a large stuffed toy tiger.
Detective Constable Dean Trollope from the St Albans Local Crime Unit is investigating and said: "This burglary has left the victims very upset due to the sentimental value attached to the items stolen, particularly the pocket watch which was given to the victim by their father.
"As the items taken are fairly distinctive I would like to hear from anyone who has been offered them for sale or knows of their whereabouts.
"Equally, people may have seen a Vauxhall Insignia being driven in the area around the time of the burglary. If anyone did see this they should contact me as soon as possible."
Anyone with any information in relation to this incident is asked to contact DC Trollope via Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference F2/14/1647.
