More than 150 youngsters took part in a Christmas showcase in St Albans.
Attended by the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of St Albans, Councillor Geoff Harrison and Councillor Janet Churchard, students of the Living the Dream School of Performing Arts entertained with a variety show, including street dance, contemporary dance, musical theatre, acting, singing and more.
The whole production was created entirely by young people aged between five and 18 who want to make a difference through the arts, have fun, grow in talent and confidence and feel empowered to believe in themselves and their dreams.
The show was in aid of the Dream Foundation, the Mayor’s chosen charity for the year.
Councillor Geoff Harrison said: "Seeing the Living the Dream’s Christmas Showcase was a wonderful way to start the Christmas season. It was a most enjoyable event: all the young people gave very professional performances and looked as if they were having a great time. Monies raised from the evening will help support the Living the Dream Foundation, that gives disadvantaged young people subsidised access to the performing arts."
