Police are appealing for information after a crash on the A414 yesterday left a woman seriously injured.
The two-car crash happened on the eastbound carriageway around a mile and a half before the Park Street roundabout when a lorry collided with the rear of a black Smart Fourtwo, shortly before 8.30am.
The lorry driver, a man in his 60s, was not injured. The driver of the Smart car, a woman in her 20s, was taken to the Royal London Hospital with serious injuries. She remains in a stable condition at this time.
Anyone who was travelling on the A414 yesterday morning and saw the collision is asked to contact PC Helen Carpenter via the Herts Police non-emergency number 101.
