A guard dog stolen from a business in Colney Street has been reunited with its owner.
Bear, the German Shepherd, was taken from a business in Moor Mill Lane at about 9.30am on November 30 after a vehicle was used to rip off part of the property’s perimeter fence.
Following an appeal by the Review, Bear was spotted wandering the streets by two passers-by and taken to Hatfield Police Station.
He was returned to his owner after he was checked over by vets.
Despite being dehydrated and having cuts to one of his paws, Bear is expected to make a full recovery.
Hertfordshire Police’s investigation into Bear’s theft continues.
Contact police on the 101 enquiry line with any information or, alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
