A teenager from St Albans has been given a county-wide award after helping to raise awareness about mental health.
Jessica, 15, was one of 40 young people to receive an award at a ceremony at County Hall, in Hertford.
Awards were given to people who take part in a number of projects, including raising money for charity and supporting vulnerable people.
Richard Roberts, cabinet member for children’s services, presented the awards.
He said: "Who could fail to be impressed with these young people? Their efforts are making a real difference and their achievements are an inspiration to us all.
"My thanks also go to Youth Connexions staff who help to bring out the best in these young people."
